Before You Buy the Platform

Before signing a multi-year systems contract, check whether your organisation is ready to run what it's buying. In my experience, disappointment often comes from the gap between what the demonstration promised and what the organisation was prepared to manage.

Three questions to answer

Who owns the data model on day 31? What will happen to workflows the new system doesn't support directly? Which team will be responsible for adoption?

Get specific answers, including the name of the team responsible, before signing the contract.
